Over 1,800 crashes occurred on the Brookline’s streets between 2019 and 2023, resulting in over 350 people injured and three people killed. Brookline is adopting Vision Zero to end serious injuries and fatalities on our streets. Vision Zero is a proactive strategy for addressing traffic safety issues. Brookline’s Vision Zero Action Plan will establish the Town’s strategy for reaching zero injuries and fatalities on our streets, and make the Town eligible for federal grant funding to support this work. To learn more about Vision Zero, visit the project webpage.

The Town has developed this online survey and web-mapping tool to give you a chance to shape the Town’s Vision Zero strategy. Your input will help identify the Town’s High-Priority Network for street safety investments and generate initial ideas for the Vision Zero strategy.

Please take the brief survey below to share your general thoughts and tell us a bit about yourself. Then, you will be directed to a map where you can tell us about places in Brookline where you feel unsafe traveling or avoid traveling due to safety concerns.
