In spring 2027, the City of Alameda will install eight Lyft bike share stations in the West End as part of a three-year pilot. Learn more on the City’s bike share webpage. Please use this web map to drop pins at locations where you would like to see bike share docking stations. You can also view what others have proposed. Your feedback will help prioritize station locations for the pilot program.

Lyft bike share docking station

Starting in Spring 2027, the City of Alameda will launch a pilot docked bike share program on the west end, joining the regional Lyft Bike program. Lyft Bike is the Bay Area's regional bike share program serving Berkeley, Daly City, Emeryville, Oakland, San Jose and San Francisco.

The pilot program in Alameda is funded by the Alameda County Transportation Commission and will provide transportation options during construction of the Oakland Alameda Access Project (OAAP).The goal of the bike share pilot is to provide first- and last-mile transportation options across the Oakland Estuary between the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle and San Francisco Bay Ferry to destinations in West Alameda during OAAP construction in the Posey Tube.

  1. Click on the "Suggest a Station Location" button, then move the plus sign (+) to the location on the map where you would like a bike share station.
  2. Answer the questions that appear and click "Submit".
  3. You will see your comment in a confirmation screen. You can then click "Submit another suggestion" to add another pin to the map. Please no more than 8 bike share station suggestions!
