What is this survey for?

Madera County is developing a Safe Routes to School Plan to identify projects that would make it safer and easier for students and families who walk, bike, or roll to school. We want to hear about your safety concerns near local schools and gather your ideas for improving conditions for walking and rolling (biking, scooting, rollerblading, or skateboarding).

This survey includes a few short questions about how you or your child gets to school, along with an interactive map where you can share specific concerns or ideas. It should take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Please answer each question as best you can—your input is important for improving safety around local schools.

Walking or Biking near Madera County Schools - Share your concerns

Please use the map to show us places around your child's school where you worry about safety or feel improvements are needed.

  1. Choose your school from the dropdown list and the map will zoom there.
    (Some schools are not listed, but you can still select specific locations on the map.)
  2. Add a point to the map.
  3. Answer the short questions that appear and click Submit.
  4. You may add as many pins as you'd like.
  5. When you're done, simply close the window. That's it!
